Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Oak Park Heights, Minnesota, in the City Hall at 14168 Oak Park Boulevard, until 10 A.M., CST, Friday, February 21, 2014, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and all else necessary for the following:
2014 Street Reconstruction
In general, Work consists of the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer, services, storm sewer, replacement of water main and services, and reconstruction of streets within residential neighborhoods. The Project consists of the following approximate quantities:
500 LIN FT 8 & 10 PVC Sanitary Sewer
20 EACH Sanitary Sewer Structures
3,000 LIN FT Sanitary Sewer CIPP Lining
9,700 LIN FT 6 & 8 DIP Water Main
650 LIN FT Directional Drill 6 PVC C900 Water Main
3,500 LIN FT 12 to 24 RCP Storm Sewer
80 EACH Storm Sewer Structures
30,000 CU YD Common Excavation
8,800 TON Select Granular Borrow
21,000 TON Class 5 Aggregate Base
6,500 TON Bituminous Pavement
25,600 LIN FT Concrete Curb and Gutter
750 CU YD Select Topsoil Borrow
6,400 SQ YD Hydroseed with Mulch
Along with miscellaneous utility improvements, removals,
restoration, signing, and correlated appurtenances.
An optional Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at 9:30 A.M., CST, at the City Hall (14168 Oak Park Boulevard). Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Engineer will transmit to all attendees of record such Addendum as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference.Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.

Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to retain the deposits of the 3 lowest Bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids. No Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the Opening of Bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the Contract to the best interests of the Owner.
