Winners have been announced for the Da Vinci Fest science fair and art fair. The eighth annual event was Jan. 11 at Stillwater Area High School.
Da Vinci Fest, sponsored by The Partnership Plan, celebrates art and science and the accomplishments of students who live within the boundaries of School District 834. More than 2,000 people attended the event, which also featured a film fest by student filmmakers, a demonstration by graffiti artist JoJo, and hands-on exhibits by science and art organizations throughout the Twin Cities.
There was a tie for the Grand Champion award for both art and science in the Senior High Division. Sharing the award for their science projects are Nathaniel Farmer and Max Ylitalo. Sharing the top award for their art projects are Gina Jostes and Madison Riebe.
The Grand Champion for science in the Junior High Division is Max Vogel. The Junior High Grand Champion for art is Tate Johnson.
