Unlike Hanson, who is a Stillwater resident, women’s champion Kimberly Mac Namee had a slightly longer trip to arrive in Stillwater. The Houston, Texas runner finished in 1:03:21, which was 38 seconds faster than Nichole Lynn Porath of Northfield.

More than 200 runners completed the 10-mile race — including 93 men and 111 women — which was slightly more than the 184 (69 men and 115 women) who finished the 5-kilometer event.

In addition to Hanson, there were several local runners who finished first in their age group, including Stillwater’s Brian Doe (30-39) in 1:09:12, Chris Brown (40-49) in 1:09:49) and Peter Schuchardt (70-older). Jim Graupner, 68, of Lake Elmo won his age group in a time of 1:14.56, which was good enough for 23rd overall.
