MINNEAPOLIS — Jon Weiland of Bayport has joined Foster Klima & Co. as a financial representative. Foster Klima, has offices in Minneapolis and Fargo, N.D., and is a general agency of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, NY.

At Foster Klima, Weiland will be responsible for comprehensive financial strategies for individuals and business owners.

Weiland brings a background of 20 years of sales, specifically in the wholesale floral industry. During this time as a floral representative, he had the opportunity live in a variety of states which has helped him realize that Minnesota was the place to live.

Weiland has a B.A. from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Weiland currently lives in Bayport, Minnesota where he enjoys tending his horses, traveling when possible as well as keeping up with his three children.

OAK PARK HEIGHTS — Benjamin L. Clair, D.P.M., will start seeing patients at St. Croix Orthpaedics clinics in Wyoming and Woodbury and in Osceola, Wis., starting in July as SCO’s third podiatric surgeon.

Clair’s clinical and research interests include total ankle replacement, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, foot and ankle sports injuries, diabetic disorders, cartilage repair and tendon disorders. He graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago. He then completed a comprehensive three-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, during which he performed more than 1,700 surgical procedures. Prior to joining SCO, Clair had a distinguished practice in northern Minnesota.

Clair is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot Surgery and in Rearfoot, Reconstructive and Ankle Surgery. He has been active in research for a number of lower leg, ankle and foot problems, and he continues to lecture or present to varied audiences, both academic and professional, and to publish in the medical literature.

Gray joins RBC office

RBC Wealth Management, one of the nation’s largest full-service securities firms, welcomes financial advisor Shawn M. Gray to the company’s Stillwater office, according to Libby Strong, Stillwater branch director.

Gray joins RBC Wealth Management from Northwestern Mutual Financial Network with 20 years industry experience. He manages a full service wealth management practice.

Alliance Bank hires Johnson

ST. PAUL — Alliance Bank, a privately-owned community bank with over $600 million in assets is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Lake Elmo resident R. Scott Johnson as vice president of Commercial Banking.

Johnson will be responsible for developing new business relationships and expanding the bank’s commercial lending presence in the Southeast Twin Cities Metro area.

Johnson has more than 27 years of community banking experience in and around the east metro area. Johnson graduated from the Graduate School of banking in Madison, Wis., and received a BA from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

Johnson is active with a number of Stillwater business and community organizations including the board of Youth Service Bureau, Stillwater Baseball and Basketball Booster clubs, and is a founder and general manager of the Stillwater Loggers Men’s Amateur Baseball Team.
