Bayport garage sale this weekend

BAYPORT — The 8th Annual Bayport Citywide Garage Sale is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
City residents are encouraged to do spring cleaning, then set up their own garage sale or shop for new “treasures” at neighboring sales.
Sign up is free at City Hall until June 3. Maps will be available at City Hall, on the city web site and at local businesses by June 5.

Hydrant flushing begins Monday

BAYPORT — The Bayport Public Works Department will begin fire hydrant flushing Monday and continue through June 21, weather permitting, city officials said.
Residents might experience some water discoloration resulting from the flushing. If residents notice discolored water, let water run until it clears.
If the problem persists, call City Hall at 651-275-4404.

Bike ride finishes at Century College

WHITE BEAR LAKE — The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Upper Midwest Chapter will finish its 34th Bike MS: C.H. Robinson Worldwide MS 150 Ride in White Bear Lake, Minn., Sunday.
The chapter expects nearly 4,000 bicyclists to participate in the two-day ride from Proctor (near Duluth) to raise money for a world free of MS.
The route is 150 miles along the scenic Willard Munger Trail. Bikers will ride through the finish line Sunday at Century College, where they can enjoy a meal with musical entertainment by One Shoe Productions from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
With every push of their pedals, riders will make a difference in the lives of people living with MS. The event is estimated to raise $3.2 million. The funds will go to support programs, services and cutting-edge research for the 17,000 people living with MS in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and counties in western Wisconsin and Nebraska. Golf Etc. holds grand opening

HUDSON, Wis. — Golf Etc. holds its grand opening event June 13 through 15 at its Hudson location at 1615 Maxwell Drive.
The open house is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 13 and 14 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m June 16. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, there will be a golf simulator contest and drawings for $1,000 worth of prizes, including golf clubs, accessories and gift certificates.

Falls Chamber names raceway its ‘business of the month’

ST. CROIX FALLS, Wis. — The Falls Chamber of Commerce selected St. Croix Valley Raceway (SCVR) as its June Business of the Month.
SCVR opened in 2011 at 2014 160th Ave. Owners Ron Bernhagen and Rick Mastell have made several improvements to the track that was formerly Kopellah Speedway.
SCVR offers affordable family entertainment with great food, a fun atmosphere and open wheel action most Friday nights this summer.
