The 2013 Youth Service Bureau “Spirit of the Mission” award was presented recently to Allissa Obler, YSB’s director of development and communication, agency officials announced.
Obler joined YSB in 2011 and manages private and public fundraising as well as communications and marketing.
YSB staff annually recognizes a colleague who contributes to positive morale and demonstrates the spirit of the YSB mission. The Spirit of the Mission award is presented to a person with a can-do attitude who exhibits enthusiasm, shares new ideas, takes on new projects, is a good representative of YSB in the community and cares about the work of YSB.
“Since joining YSB, Allissa has immersed herself in the community and raised awareness about the work we do in new and exciting ways,” said Mary Planten-Krell, YSB executive director. “She has helped us think outside the box while valuing the opinions of others and staying true to our mission.”
YSB helps youth and families learn the skills they need to be more successful at home, in school and throughout the community. Programs include youth focused family counseling, educational awareness programs and chemical health support. Learn more by calling one of our three locations or visiting www.ysb.net.
