Synchronized swimming: Ponies improve to 2-0

 

The Stillwater synchronized swim team improved to 2-0 on the season following Thursday’s 20-9 East Metro Conference victory over Forest Lake at Stillwater Junior High School.

Mariah Smith placed first in the figures meet for the Ponies with a score of 65.807, which was more than two points ahead of runner-up Andrea Dunrud (63.495) of Forest Lake.

Katie Koenning (62.807) and Elise Adrian (62.214) finished third and fourth for the Ponies while Skyler Olson (60.824) and Vessa Pearsall (60.710) placed sixth and seventh. Claire Haws added a ninth-place effort for Stillwater with a score of 60.329.

l Stillwater posted a 29-0 victory over Forest Lake in the JV competition on Thursday. The Ponies swept the top eight spots, led by Danielle Snow (24.658), Mamie Thrall (24.249) and Sophie Ogaard (24.160) in the top three spots.
