Stillwater Area Public school music students are learning that practice not only makes perfect, it raises money for the program.

Elementary and junior high school orchestra musicians in Independent School District 834 are raising funds through the Sixth Annual Orchestra Practice-a-thon that started Monday. Meanwhile, the Oak-Land Junior High School Band Parents Association sponsors its 19th Annual Coffeehouse Cabaret fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Boutwells Landing Auditorium at 13575 58th St. North in Oak Park Heights.

Practice-a-thon is a Stillwater Orchestra Parent Group initiative and some funds go to The Partnership Plan orchestra legeacy endowment fund. Visit either or for more information.
