The Stillwater City Council will discuss TIF assistance and the Readex event survey results at their 4:30 p.m. meeting Tuesday.
Documents state that the city has been working closely with Vista Technologies of Vadnais Heights to find incentives to bring them to Stillwater. City documents state that the TIF loan that could be paid to the company comes in at $250,000 and would bring more jobs to Stillwater. The loan would be forgivable after five years provided that the company maintains a certain level of employee numbers.
Also at the early meeting, a representative from Readex, the company hired to do the events survey, presents findings to the council. Council members will then discuss the next steps when it comes to events later in the meeting.
At the 7 p.m. meeting, St. Croix Crossing Project Director John Chiglo gives the council a project update, Miss Teen Washington County will be introduced and possible approval of the Iron Man bike event coming to Washington County this spring.
Public hearings on road improvement projects will also be held.
