SAHA holds equipment drive

The Stillwater Area Hockey Association (SAHA) holds its third annual equipment donation drive for Youth Advantage during the Feb. 2 Stillwater Area High School junior varsity and varsity boys’ hockey games.
The Ponies play Mounds View at the St. Croix Valley Rec Center. The JV game is 5:30 pm. and the Varsity game at 7:30.
The SAHA Squirt A and Bantam A “Hockey Buddy Program” sponsors the equipment drive for Youth Advantage — an organization whose mission is to, “…provide access to arts, athletics, and educational-enrichment experiences for children of financially-challenged parents or guardians who reside in District 834 boundaries.”
All students get free admission to the games by wearing a youth hockey association jersey and donating new or gently-used youth athletic equipment.  Any kind of youth athletic equipment will be accepted. it does not need to be hockey. Youth Advantage is particularly low on lacrosse and wrestling equipment.
In addition to athletic equipment, Youth Advantage accepts Ti-83 calculators and musical instruments. Cash donations are accepted to support activities fees provided by Youth Advantage for those in need. All donations are tax deductible.
