Andersen to lay off temp employees
BAYPORT — Andersen Corp. will layoff an unknown number of temporary workers, a company spokeswoman confirmed this morning.
Andersen spokeswoman Laurie Bauer said the layoffs of Andersen temporary workers is not unusual this time of year.
“This is normal and it happens every January as part of the cyclical business cycle,” she said.
A Washington County WorkForce Center representative could not be reached this morning for comment about the Andersen layoffs and assistance available to the affected workers at the Woodbury WorkForce Center.
