Agency hosts cooking class
Learn to make new recipes to enjoy at home and taste several delicious soups at Now You’re Cooking classes taught by Judy King Jan. 22 and 29 at Valley Outreach, 1911 Curve Crest Boulevard in Stillwater
Both classes are noon to 1 p.m. and cost $25 per class.
The Jan. 22 session features a spicy black bean soup with accompaniments and a creamy butternut squash soup with homemade bread. The Jan. 29 class features an Avgolemono soup and mushroom stroganoff soup with homemade bread.

Library hosts ‘Dino Dig’
The Stillwater Public Library and Minnesota Children’s Museum “Museum-to-Go” program co-host a “Dino Dig” at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24 at the libray.
Children will become aspiring paleontologists and uncover clues from the past to learn about ancient dinosaurs we all love.

SPCO concert at church
MAHTOMEDI — Locked out St. Paul Chamber Orchestra musicians will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road in Mahtomedi.
The musicians will perform Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and a Night of Italian Baroque Concertos. The repertoire includes Vivaldi’s Concerto in C Major for Two Trumpets with soloists Gary Bordner and Lynn Erickson; the Four Seasons with soloist Ruggero Allifranchini; Concerto in C Major for Piccolo with soloist Alicia McQuerrey, and Benedetto Marcello’s Concerto in C Minor with soloist Kathryn Greenbank.

Vets groups hold dinner
Members of the A and D Last Man’s Club World War II veterans’ group and the H and H Last Man’s Club from the Korean Conflict hold their annnual dinner Jan. 26 at the Stillwater VFW Post No. 323.
Social hour is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner. Stillwater City Councilman Mike Polehna will discuss plans for the city’s new Army National Guard Armory. Rituals with candles and “Taps” will be played at the event.
