Pair receive ‘Physician Recognition’ awards from Lakeview Hospital
Physicians Dr. Larry Morrissey and Dr. Ted Haland were recognized recently for their service to the community with Physician Recognition awards by Lakeview Hospital Medical Director Dr. Charles Bransford at the hospital’s annual medical staff meeting.
Morrissey is a board-certified pediatrician who completed his residency at Mayo Clinic. He was recognized for his long commitment to Lakeview Hospital and the St. Croix Valley community. Morrissey is a nationally recognized leader with the Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making, where his research study, “Assessing Effectiveness of Decision Support in Primary Care,” focused on a team approach with shared decision making, enhancing patient centered care, patient satisfaction and health care delivery.
Morrissey practices at the Stillwater Medical Group Main Campus.
Haland is a board-certified family medicine physician who completed his residency at United Family Medicine Program. He was recognized for his commitment to Lakeview Hospital leadership and the community.
Haland has held leadership positions as department chairman and currently serves as a member of the lakeview’s medical executive committee. He is also the hospital’s medical director for both Hospice and Information Systems.
Haland works to ensure the needs of Lakeview Hospital’s patients are met and in the past year has been a valued leader in Epic electronic medical record implementation for Lakeview Health. He practices as a hospitalist at Lakeview Hospital.
This is the 17th year Lakeview Hospital has presented physician recognition awards. The awards are given annually by physician peers to recognize fellow physicians for their overall distinguished service to Lakeview Hospital, its patients and the community.
