Event begins school group’s annual food, winter clothing drive

LAKE ELMO — The Lake Elmo Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA), along with staff, administrators and community partners, kicks off its annual food and winter clothing drive with a “Sharing is Caring” event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lake Elmo Elementary School.

“This will be the fourth year of our Food and Winter Clothing drive and we have a very generous community” said PTA President Crista Walsh. “Coming together to for a dinner is an amazing way to connect and share in this community effort.”

Walsh said many families of Lake Elmo Elementary students complain that there are not many volunteer opportunities that families can participate in.
