The Stillwater ninth-grade volleyball teams finished the season with a combined 18-0 record in conference play for the first time in at least seven years.
The two teams combined to lose just eight out of 104 games played during the season while outscoring their opponents 1.8 to 1 in the process.
Strong serving was one of the keys to success as the teams combined to post an 89.8 serving percentage.
“This has probably been the best team we have ever coached,” said head coach Melissa Brown, who is assisted by Mike Zeno. “Not just because of their amazing record, but because the athletes were so nice and supportive of each other all season. They were a pleasure to be around and we will miss them.”
The B squad’s only loss all season came against the Stillwater A team in the championship match of a tournament at Woodbury.
