Annual Bayport hydrant flush starts Monday
The Bayport Public Works Department will flush fire hydrants beginning Monday. The work should be completed in 7 to 10 days, weather permitting.
Residents might experience some water discoloration as a result of the flushing. If residents notice discolored water, let the water run until it clears. If your problem persists, call City Hall at 651-275-4404.
Trinity hosts lutefisk, meatball dinner
Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater hosts its annual lutefisk and meatball dinner on Nov. 1 in their garden room. Seatings are at 11:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 4:15 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:45 p.m will be served family-style.
Cost is $18 for adults, $5for children in first through sixth grade) and free for preschoolers and tickets can be purchased at the church. Will-call tickets can be ordered by calling 651-439-7400 or by e-mail [email protected]. Payment is due within four days.
There is a 200-person limit for each seating and tickets are on a first-come basis. All proceeds are dedicated to food missions.
Health groups hold holiday card contest
Lakeview Hospital and Stillwater Medical Group are looking for their holiday card design and St. Croix Valley residents can help.
The hospital and SMG are holding a design contest for their holiday card. The winning design is printed on the front of Lakeview’s holiday card and all other top entries are displayed throughout hospital campus and SMG.
Submission criteria are a winter theme or scene without holiday connotation; not smaller than 8 inches-by-11 inches and no larger than 11 inches-by-17 inches; suitable for matting and framing with a glass overlay, and must include the entrant’s name, address, phone number and email address.
Entry deadline is Oct. 29. Submissions can be dropped off at the hospital reception desk, 927 Churchill St. West in Stillwater; SMG main campus at 1500 Curve Crest Boulevard in Stillwater or SMG Somerset Clinic at 700 Rivard St., Somerset, Wis.
