The city of Stillwater is accepting applications for openings on the Planning Commission and Public Library Board of Trustees, city officials announced.
There is one opening on the city’s nine-member Planning Commission for a three-year term. Applicants will be evaluated on their personal and professional experience related to the commission’s subject area, knowledge of city government and experience from similar appointments.
The panel conducts public hearings on special use and conditional use permits, zoning ordinance variances, subdivisions and other areas covered by the city’s zoning ordinance. The Planning Commission meets the second Monday of each month.
The Stillwater Public Library Board of Trustees sets policy for the library. City ordinance requires that library board trustees be Stillwater residents. The library board meets at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of every month.
Persons interested in either vacancy can pick up applications at City Hall, 216 Fourth St. North or the library, 224 Third St. North. Applications must be returned to either City Hall or the library by 4:30 p.m. Nov. 9.
