The Arc offers networking groups for parents of children with disabilities

ST. PAUL — East metro parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities are invited to find information, support and connections at three free networking groups from The Arc Greater Twin Cities.

The General Support Group in Stillwater is for parents of children with any intellectual or developmental disability. It meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the second Tuesday of the month from September through May at Kowalski’s Market/Starbucks, Community Room, 5801 Neal Ave. North in Oak Park Heights. Meeting dates for 2012 are Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11.

The General Support Group of White Bear Lake is for parents of children with any intellectual or developmental disability, with emphasis on autism. It meets from from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month from September through May at White Bear Lake City Hall, Expansion Room, 4701 U.S. Highway 61 in White Bear Lake. Meeting dates for 2012 are Sept. 25, Oct. 23, Nov. 27 and Dec. 18 (date change).

The Parents of Children with Autism group meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month from September through June at the Family Achievement Center, 8320 City Centre Dr., Suite G, Conference Room in Woodbury. Meeting dates for 2012 are Sept. 11, Oct. 9 and Nov. 13 (no December meeting).
