Scott, Jeff & Julia, as you know I am deeply saddened for your loss. I want to express my sympathy to all 3 of you. I thought it would be nice to share a few stories I have between Rita and I. Although she wasn’t my “true” sister-in-law – we ALWAYS introduced each other as such. Rita liked all my girlfriends and she understood, as they do, that I never had a sister. So it was kind of “cool” to have her in my life. We sometimes even fought like sisters, but always made up.

Rita was a GREAT cook – she taught me how to make center cut pork chops in a crock pot with cream of mushroom and cream of onion. Absolutely delicious recipe, and you use the sauce for the mashed potatos!!

I think it was about 10 years ago, Rita caught a 9 lb. Walleye while we were up at the cabin. We already had dinner planned so she or we, all of us decided to make it on the grill. OMG was that Good!! Rita put cajun sprinkle on it, with butter and I dont know what else, and we all had it for an appetizer before dinner. It was the best walleye I had ever tasted !!!

I also learned from Rita, by way of looking in her refridgerator at the house, if you want to be conservative, pack up your leftovers in a Rainbow or Cub plastic bag!! OMG – I use to look in that fridge and you couldn’t tell what was what. All you saw was plastic bags all over in the fridge. To this day, I think of her every time I open my fridge and see a plastic Cub bag. I have to chuckle.

Thanks for the Great Memories Rita !!! These are just a few of them. I love you!

    Your “sister-in-law”, Linda

This letter is for just one person that I have loved for 22 years. I love you Rita and think of you every minute, hour and day. I feel like someone has crushed my soul and find life difficult now as my daughter Julia and my son Jeff and I cry for you. We know that your suffering has come to an end and we all miss you greatly. We know that we will all be there in heaven together some day but we miss you Rita so much now; and we all love you. Rita always use to say to me, will you love me forever? And of course, I said yes. Now it’s time to say it one more last time, to my lover Rita – I will always love you forever! Your lover, forever and ever and ever . . . Love, Scott DeMesy

Words cannot express how heartbroken I am or how it feels to loose the person you held closest to your heart. My mother was my everything and I have no idea how I will make it without her. This is the worst thing that could ever possibly happen to me. I thank the Heavens she is still in my heart and with me each and every step of the way in my life. She was the best person who ever lived, the best mom and best friend I will ever know. She cannot be replaced, she will remain my Queen forever.
    I love you Mommy.
    -Julia
