A proposed change to the Independent School District 834 boundary in a Woodbury residential development and a discussion on shared services are before ISD 834 School Board members Thursday.
Laurent Development, the developer of the Dancing Waters subdivision in the northeast corner of Woodbury, is asking for a boundary change to accommodate changes in the development plan.
The current boundary line separates ISD 834 and South Washington County School District 833. The board approved the current boundary line in Dec. 2002. The proposed boundary change has no material effect to either school district.
At the board learning session, members will receive a shared services update and school board building liaison assignments for 2012-2013.
District spokeswoman Carissa Keister said shared service options have been discussed since last fall. The district has talked with other cities and counties to see if any services could be shared to save money going forward such as shared maintenance of athletic fields.
School board liaison assignments will be decided for next year at the learning session.
The superintendent report will focus on the Stillwater High School’s girls’ championship softball team.
The school board meeting is 7:15 p.m. in the council chambers at Stillwater City Hall.
