The Minneapolis-based Newgrass Art-Rock quartet, The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra touches down Sunday for a performance at the Northern Vineyards Winery in Stillwater.

The group, who’s sound has been described at Bela Fleck meets Rush, goes out to breakfast with John Coletrane and gets home in time to golf with Jeff Beck, plays at 7 p.m. at Northern Vineyards, 223 Main St. N. The show is for all ages and tickets are $10.

The GCO has toured throughout the Midwest, East Coast and Southeast and just returned from a trip to North Carolina, where they played before 8,500 music fans at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival.

GCO fuses a mix of jazz, classical, bluegrass, art-rock, Indian ragas and their own original stylings to create a unique music genre – Newgrass art-rock.
