MnDOT hosts Lift Bridge rehab open house

An open house that outlines the state Department of Transportation’s fall Stillwater Lift Bridge rehabilitation project is 4 to 7 p.m. June 21 in the Stillwater City Hall council chamber.

MnDOT personnel will provide information on maintenance and repair of steel connections, electrical systems, concrete surfaces and the painting of a portion of the span.

The Lift Bridge closes to traffic when work starts in September. The project is expected to be finished in late autumn.

Open house visitors can view details of the repairs, study the Lift Bridge maintenance plan, learn about detours and navigation impacts and ask questions. Information handouts will be available.
