The First National Green Room downtown Stillwater will be adding outdoor seating after the city’s Planning Commission approved a special use permit Monday night.
The First National Green Room, 215 Main Street South, now has the green light to construct a 450 square foot rooftop patio overlooking the St. Croix River and Lift Bridge.
The Planning Commissioner approved the request as long as the restaurant meets 16 stipulations, including no smoking on the rooftop patio, food and beverage service will end at 10:30 p.m. and customers must vacate the patio by 11 p.m. daily and no glassware is allowed the rooftop patio.
Customers will be able to enjoy all beverages on the patio, but the restaurant cannot have a physical bar on the patio. Amplified music will also not be allowed.
