WOODBURY – Dennis O. Albrecht, 63, of Woodbury, and formerly of Stillwater, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2012.
Dennis grew up in Afton and was a resident of Stillwater for more than 30 years. He was a lifelong, and active, member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Afton and was retired after more than 35 years at 3M.
Dennis was an avid outdoorsman and got the nickname "Mallard" while hunting, fishing and camping with friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Adele (Swanson) Albrecht, and sister, Judy Dusk. He is survived by three children, Bethany (Travis) Roberts of Burnsville, Jenna Albrecht (Dave Westerhouse) of Wausau, Wis., and Paul Albrecht of Stillwater; their mother, Ann Albrecht of Hudson Wis.; three granddaughters, Zoe and Ava Roberts and Natasha Albrecht; nieces, Vanessa (Karl) Dusk-Strom and their children, Jada and Chloe, and Brooke (David Hauth) Dusk, and extended family and many friends – especially those at Stonecrest Presbyterian Home in Woodbury.
A memorial service: is 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 880 Neal Ave. in Afton. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment is in the church cemetery.
