OAK PARK HEIGHTS – Ten different players collected at least one goal to help lead the balanced Stillwater boys’ lacrosse team to a 17-2 nonconference victory over Spring Lake Park on Saturday.

Nolan Rinta and George Uppgren contributed to the scoring attack for the Ponies (8-4) while distributing four and three assists apiece.

"We’re getting scoring from all over the place, which is what you should see in a game like that," Ponies coach Travis Sanders said. "We had three guys with hat tricks and the one good thing on that was seeing Rinta and Uppgren set up our middies, which is a big part of team lacrosse."

Charlie Register, Sam Mathieu and Alex Siedow each provided three goals while Sam Sagissor found the back of the net twice. Additional goal scorers for the Ponies included Cody Holsten, Zach Wittl, Rinta, Mitchell Caywood, Chris Rick and Uppgren.

Rick entered the record book early in the game while becoming the team’s all-time leader in face-off wins, finishing the game with 134 in his career. Ryan Aldridge graduated a year ago with a then-record total of 132.

Jeff Burridge and Zach Shockency each finished with three saves in goal for the Ponies.
