Chad Mistele, a scientist and chemist at 3M, serves Salem Lutheran School kindergarteners Tessa Richter, left, Kevel Rhines, Matthew Huebscher and Isaac Hunter flash frozen mini-marshmallows during Mistele’s recent visit to the school as part of the 3M Wizards Program. Mistele, who has two sons attending Salem, showed preschool through fourth grade classes experiments about cryogenics, at one point using a frozen banana as a hammer.
