Borrman and Boucher are SAHS Athletes of the Week

Britta Borrman

Britta Borrman — Volleyball

Facing some of the top competition in the state through the early part of the season, the Stillwater volleyball team has been up to the task with gritty defense led by Britta Borrman.

The junior defensive specialist/libero totaled 24 digs as Stillwater played two-time defending champion Eagan tough before falling in five games at Stillwater Area High School on Sept. 5.

Borrman also supplied 19 digs as the Ponies (2-2) pulled out a 3-2 nonconference victory at Elk River on Aug. 31. The Ponies pulled away 15-9 in Game 5 of that match.

Jack Boucher

Jack Boucher — Boys soccer

After graduating the bulk of its scoring from last year’s team that completed an undefeated season with the program’s third state championship, Jack Boucher helps lead a more balanced scoring attack this season.

The senior scored the opening goal for the Ponies in a 3-0 nonconference victory over Rosemount on Sept. 1. Boucher also delivered a goal with an assist from Daniel Muths to provide a 2-0 lead for the Ponies in an eventual 4-0 victory over Park of Cottage Grove in their Suburban East Conference opener on Sept. 6.
