17-year-old motorcycle driver killed in collision on Highway 95

A 17-year-old Roseville male riding a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a Cadillac Escalade in Oak Park Heights June 1, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Declan Ronan Raverty was driving a Harley Davidson Roadster northbound on Highway 95, just north of Highway 36, around 4:45 p.m. June 1. An Escalade was exiting the Sunnyside Marina, attempting to cross Highway 95 to travel southbound, the State Patrol says, and the motorcycle struck the rear quarter-panel of the Escalade before coming to rest in the middle of the northbound lanes.

Raverty’s passenger on the motorcycle, a 20-year-old Roseville woman, was taken to Regions Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both motorcycle riders were wearing helmets, and alcohol was not a factor, according to the State Patrol.

The driver of the Escalade, a 73-year-old Stillwater man, was not injured.
