Gina Jablonski — Girls lacrosse
The Stillwater girls’ lacrosse team has won five in a row since dropping two straight to start the season and senior Gina Jablonski has been a key contributor to the team’s more recent success.
Jablonski four times in each of Stillwater’s one-goal victories over Arrowhead (Wis.) and York (Ill.) during a weekend event in Hartland, Wis. She also provided four goals as the Ponies returned to Suburban East Conference play with a 17-1 victory over Woodbury on Tuesday, May 2.
The Ponies (3-0 SEC, 5-2) travel to East Ridge for a key conference game on May 9.
Cole Lebourgeois — Boys track and field
One of the most pleasant surprises this spring for the Stillwater boys’ track and field team has been the emergence of Cole Lebourgeois.
The senior has made steady improvements, capped by a third-place finish in the 800 meters at the prestigious Hamline Elite Meet on April 28. Lebourgeois ran a career-best time of 1:57.26 in the 800 meters and also contributed to a sixth-place showing with teammates Noah Johnson, Andrew Frenchik and Josh Phelps in the 4×400 relay, which turned in a season-best time of 3:26.31
