Sydney Rogness — Girls swimming and diving

After qualifying for the state meet and earning all-state honors as a seventh-grader last season, Sydney Rogness has not slowed down while helping the Stillwater girls’ swimming and diving team extend many of its impressive winning streaks.

Rogness helped the Ponies win their 15th straight Section 4AA crown with a victory and section record in the 200 IM and a runner-up finish in the 100 freestyle. She also swam on first-place 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. She joins teammate Ciana Fragnito in competing in four events at this week’s state meet.

Peyton Classon — Girls swimming and diving

Competing in her first season as a member of the Stillwater girls’ swimming and diving team, Peyton Classon has made marked improvement throughout the season.

The sophomore joined senior teammate Madeline Gilbert in qualifying for this week’s state meet in diving after placing fourth with a score of 381.30 in the Section 4AA Meet on Friday, Nov. 11 at Stillwater Junior High School. Classon finished out her season with a 27th-place finish in the preliminaries while making her state meet debut on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
