With summer and the end of school come picnics, barbecues and outdoor parties. One of our favorite summer celebrations if Fourth of July. It’s a great time to spend the day outdoors with friends and family just having a fabulous time enjoying summer. Often, we are the ones who host the parties. And that means a certain amount of work to set up an experience that everyone can enjoy.
But we really don’t want to spend our whole day playing hostess. So we come up with little tricks to make life easier, while keeping the experience great for our guests.
These paint dipped disposable dishes are one of the many ways to do this. You can prep this ahead of time, and then on the day of the party your guests feel the extra effort you put into the day. And because you put effort in here, you can put in a little less somewhere else and no one cares. Tricky.
These dishes are simple. Just dip them in some paint, let them drip a little bit to get the extra paint off, and then flip them upside down to dry. You want to make sure you let them drip enough that the paint doesn’t reach all the way to the eating or drinking surface, just because it feels strange. But otherwise, there are no rules.
And when your guests arrive and see what you’ve created, they’ll think you are the best host ever. Even if you do absolutely nothing else.
