Because of February snowstorms being what they are, Festival Theatre and Chateau St. Croix Winery postponed their late February mystery night, “The Masquerade,” and have rescheduled the event for Saturday, March 22, with a second date of Saturday, May 17.
The mystery at the Chamberlin Mansion begins at 6:30 p.m. with a light tasting and cocktail hour, featuring an hors d’oeuvres offering from Marketplace Foods. At 7:30 p.m., the mystery unfolds.
Can anyone unmask the spy in the group? The butler may be the only one you can trust. Bring your disguise and your alter ego and become a part of the investigation. Secrecy and lies are the basis for the evening at the Chamberlin Estate, as disguises are shed and reapplied, and even the audience members themselves are exposed as secret agents for the American Constabulary for Truth (A.C.T.).
With dozens of local poisonings shrouded in mystery and the master of the incognito known only as “The Masquerade” as the only suspect, the agents must find clues to expose the poisoner. Find your role in this impromptu adventure ala classic spy stories and radio mysteries. But be careful to whom you tell your secrets; remember, you are surrounded by spies.
Reservations are required, alias suggested. Tickets are $50 per person. Call the Festival Theatre Box Office at 715-483-3387 or email [email protected] to make reservations, or go to festivaltheatre.org.
