Gymnastics: Ponies finish 8th at Wolfpack Invite

 

COTTAGE GROVE — The Stillwater gymnastics team placed eighth out of 10 teams at Saturday’s Wolfpack Invitational at Park High School.

The Ponies posted a season-high score of 136.3.

Danielle Keran posted Stillwater’s top score in the uneven bars (8.8), beam (8.6) and floor (8.85) while Maggie Germundson led the way in the vault with a score of 9.25. Keran (9.2) and Sidnee Ronsberg (8.95) also delivered strong scores in the vault, which was the team’s highest scoring event at 35.9.

“Even though we ended up placing eighth in the meet, we were really happy with the outcome,” Ponies coach Traci Swenson said. “We had our best team score of the season and are really moving forward with some new skills and increased score potential.”

n Led by a first-place finish from Maddie Steffl in the vault, the Stillwater JV team placed third out of nine teams with a season-high score of 126.15.
