It’s official: Summer festival will be Stillwater Log Jam

Locals-flyer-WebThe Locals, the group charged with reviving Stillwater’s summer festival, announced Jan. 21 that the event will be called Stillwater Log Jam. The event is scheduled for July 18-20, and organizers are seeking volunteers and local vendors.

The group considered using the festival’s former name, Lumberjack Days but said it could not reach an agreement with the festival’s former organizers.

The Locals were awarded the rights to plan the summer festival in November. The revival of the festival comes on the heels of two summers without a city festival. Lumberjack Days was discontinued after the original organizer, David Eckberg, was charged with five counts of theft by check and five counts of issuing dishonored checks. His trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 3.
