SCPA round-up: Balanced Lions shoot past MPA

 

Quinn Fisher and Weston Berg each scored 12 points to lead a balanced attack as the St. Croix Preparatory Academy boys’ basketball team cruised to a 61-28 victory over Mounds Park Academy on Tuesday night.

Four Lions scored in double figures as Michael Gutierrez tossed in 11 points and Chance Fisher added 10. SCPA (2-2) held the Panthers to just 10 points in the first half and outscored them 40-18 after halftime.

Blake 37, SCPA 31

At Hopkins, Sarah Waldfogel led all scorers with 23 points as Blake held off St. Croix Prep 37-31 in a girls’ basketball game on Tuesday night.

The Lions (2-2) were led by Lita Schollmeier, who drained three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points. Grace and Rose Kaetterhenry added eight and six points apiece.
