Neal Ave Raingarden

Public Notice
(Official Publication)
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, December 9, 2013, at 6:30 p.m., the Browns Creek Watershed District Board of Managers will hold a public hearing to receive comments on the Districts proposed Neal Ave Neighborhood Raingarden Projects.
BCWD has identified a residential development in Stillwater that directly contributes stormwater to Browns Creek, an impaired trout stream. By working with residential landowners in the neighborhood, BCWD will install 9-13 streetside raingardens to infiltrate warm stormwater and remove sediment and nutrients. These projects are proposed to begin in 2014.
The estimated total cost for the projects is $65,000. The projects will be funded through a county-wide ad valorem levy as authorized by Minnesota Statutes chapter 103B in the amount of $20,000, and state Clean Water Land and Legacy grant funds in the amount of $45,000.
The public hearing will be held at the Family Means, 1875 Northwestern Ave S, Stillwater, Minnesota.
