The new Beach Road bridge over Highway 36 in Oak Park Heights will open by Sunday, Nov. 24, weather permitting.

The S. Frontage Road and Lookout Trail are also scheduled to open by the 24.

A portion of Beach Road and the bridge over Highway 36 have been closed since August, while crews construct the new Beach Road bridge.

The S. Frontage Road has been closed since Nov. 6, for about two-thirds mile between Phil’s Tara Hideaway and Stagecoach Trail, while crews tied a water main and completed curb and gutter work. Access from Peller/Penrose avenues to the S. Frontage Road will also open when the S. Frontage Road opens.

Lookout Trail and a road within the northern end of the Sunnyside Condos complex have been closed since early October while crews complete water main work.

The remaining new Highway 95 lanes south of Highway 36 should also open by the end of November, weather permitting. This will be the final traffic configuration for Highway 95 in that area. Some lane closures are possible in November to complete final median work.
