Why MTU? — It is well known for the academic areas of interest and my personality fits well with the coach and players. The team is going through a rebuilding period and the position of an underdog is appealing.

Why SDSU? — South Dakota State University had everything I was looking for, agriculture education and Division I swimming.

Major/academic interests — Agricultural communications and journalism

Most memorable experience with the Ponies — Any True Team state meet because it is always exciting to see the whole team come together and swim fast. It’s always fun!

Sydney Evensen

College attending — University of Colorado (Boulder)

Sport — Women’s lacrosse

Why CU-Boulder? — Fell in love with the University of Colorado the first time I visited. It has a very good business school and I have known the head coach for a few years. All three coaches are some of the best lacrosse players in the world. Colorado is a new program, which I want to be a part of.

Major/academic interests — Major in business and minor in Spanish

Other SAHS Activities — Cross country running and alpine skiing

Most memorable experience with the Ponies — Making it to state in lacrosse in ninth grade, which was my first year on the team.
