Football: Raiders blank Stillwater in section playoffs

ST. PAUL — Two trends continued on Friday night as Cretin-Derham hall racked up 481 yards of offense while blanking Stillwater 41-0 in a Section 4AAAAAA playoff game at O’Shaugnessy Stadium.

The Ponies (3-6) ended their season with six straight losses after defeating Cretin-Derham Hall 21-7 in a nationally televised game on Sept. 13. Since that loss, the third-seeded Raiders (7-2) have reeled off six consecutive victories.

Cretin-Derham Hall limited Stillwater to just 141 total yards and took advantage of four lost fumbles by the Ponies, who had lost just two fumbles all season prior to Friday.

Blake Banham rushed for 192 yards on just 17 carries (11.3 avg.) while quarterback Ricardo Johnson III completed 13 of 20 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns.

Zach Knox gained 97 yards on 24 carries to lead the Ponies.
