Another incident of a broken window and stolen items occurred in the parking lot at 2nd Street and Nelson on Tuesday, according to Stillwater Police reports.
Items stolen included a Garmin GPS, cell phone chargers and cords and an iPhone audio cord.
Total loss is estimated at $250, and damage to the window is approximately $150. This is the second smash and grab in this lot since Sunday.’
The victim told police the items were taken from the center console and weren’t out in the open, but he thought the thief may have seen the cords leading to the middle console. The glove box was rummaged through as well.
Serial numbers for the items were given to police, and there are no suspects at this time.
Tires punctured at St. Croix Boat and Packet
A caller reported to police on Tuesday damage to their vehicle at the St. Croix Boat and Packet area in the form of slashed tires.
The victim’s clutch on a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer had gone out the day before the report was made, and the victim had to leave the car overnight. Police believe damage occurred Monday night between 9 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. the next day, when the damage was discovered.
Numerous small puncture marks — 20 on one tire — were found on the deflated tires. All four of the tires were deflated, and replacement tires were purchased for $400 in addition to a tow. Surveillance video did not pick up any parties in the area, and there are no suspects at this time though the case has been forwarded to investigations.
