OAK PARK HEIGHTS — Roseville quarterback Jacques Perra threw for 341 yards and rushed for 53 more as the Raiders spoiled Stillwater’s homecoming with a 32-20 Suburban East Conference football triumph on Friday at Pony Stadium. Perra completed 18 of 34 passes, including seven to Jesper Horsted for 143 yards.
It marked the third straight loss for the Ponies (3-3), who won three in a row to start the season before consecutive overtime losses to Hastings and Mounds View and Friday’s setback against Roseville. The upstart Raiders improved to 5-1 to remain atop the conference standings with East Ridge (5-1) and Mounds View (5-1), who also won on Friday.
Zach Knox rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries to lead the Ponies, who travel to East Ridge next week to continue a stretch of consecutive games against the three top teams in the league standings.
