Girls from the Stillwater Area High School junior and senior classes took Pony Stadium by storm in the Powder Puff football game Monday night. The juniors conquered the seniors 22-14 in a game that was close throughout and threatened to go into overtime until the juniors stopped the seniors on fourth down late in the game. The teams were cheered on by fans who showed their “Pony Pride” to support their players.
Pony football players coached the two teams, with the seniors listening to instructions from their coaching staff. The game also featured an appearance by boys dressed as cheerleaders to round off the half time entertainment. (Gazette staff photos by Avery Cropp)
