Sheryl Ann Yahner



Sheryl Ann Yahner, 70, of Stillwater, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2013, surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by parents, Philip John and Vera Augusta Marten. Sheryl is survived by children, Kristofer (Ellison) and Kylie (Chistopher) Cromrich; grandchildren, Vera and Felix; brother, Dan (Kathy) Marten, and many loving relatives and friends. Sherry was born in Canova, SD. She lived in many places throughout her life including Colorado, Indiana and Ireland. While she enjoyed traveling and experiencing different cultures, she found her true home with her church in Stillwater. Sherry was a devout and active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church for more than 20 years. She loved to knit and crochet, which she shared with the prayer shawl ministry. Sherry enjoyed gardening and was always excited for the beginning of the planting season. Sherry was a warm and loving person, always ready with a hug. Her motherly touch extended far beyond her immediate family. She brought everyone together from far and wide for visits and celebrations. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1616 W. Olive St. in Stillwater. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard on the northwest corner of Minnesota 36 and County Road 5 in Stillwater. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association and Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

    I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. She was such a great person. I truly enjoyed the opportunity to get to know her over the last couple of years. I know that she will be missed by many.
