Lorrayne Korth Dixon, 89, of Bayport, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2013. Lorrayne was born in Proctor, Minn., on May 16, 1924. She is preceded in death by her parents, Irene Korth Jacobson (Berger) and George Korth. She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1942. She met Albert W. Dixon, a member of the U.S. Army Air Force, while working in support of the World War II effort in Ogden, Utah. They were married on June 30, 1944. She is survived by son, Timothy (Cheryl) Dixon of Bayport; daughters, Wendi Charlsen of Burnsville, and Deborah Dixon of Vadnais Heights; grandchildren Erik (Melissa) Charlsen of Bayport and Christine (Samuel) Lifton of Coralville, Iowa; great-grandchild, Zoe Charlsen, many friends and her dog, Honey. Lorrayne owned and operated Lorrayne’s Hair Fashions in Stillwater for more than 20 years. Next, she worked at, and retired from, Andersen Windows. Her hobbies included gardening, traveling, casino trips, shopping and volunteering. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 55 years, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW for 39 years, the Eastern Star and Stillwater Elks Club. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at People’s Congregational Church, 309 N. Third St. in Bayport. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 19 at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd on the northwest corner of Minnesota 36 and County Road 5 in Stillwater. Interment is at Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Disabled Veterans Memorial and The MS Society.
