Puppetry, music in the grass

Theater stages show in backyard of local home

Open Eye logoThe back yard of a Stillwater residence becomes the Open Eye Figure Theatre stage for the live music and puppet show “Tucker’s Robot” during which children of all ages will see a host of puppet characters to stretch their imaginations.
The short play is performed at 7 p.m. July 24 at the big pink house just above Schulenberg Park on the north end of Stillwater.
The story follows Tucker, an adventurer with an unstoppable imagination, who discovers an old robot in a garbage and takes it home. Tucker is usually ready for anything but can’t believe it when the robot travels through time and takes him along. The 45-minute show is fun for families and children.
Admission is by donation of any amount and refreshments are available. The hillside site is not wheelchair-accessible but the show will be audio described for anyone who is blind or of low vision.
