BAYPORT — The public is invited to attend a People’s Congregational Church July 21 outdoor worship service featuring the music of singer-songwriter Tim Frantzich.
Frantzich began singing in Minneapolis music groups and eventually started singing close-harmony with his brother, Paul. Together, the two have made eight CDs as The Brothers Frantzich and traveled extensively. Tim will release his second solo album later this summer. To summarize his experience Tim likes to say that he has sung in 1,000 churches and 1,000 pubs.
Tim Frantzich has sung at Omega Institute in Rhineback, N.Y., with Arlo Guthrie and Robert Bly; Kripalu Yoga Center in western Massachusetts; A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor; Robert Bly’s Great Mother and New Father Conference in Nobleboro, Maine, and Bly’s Minnesota Men’s Conference, and has performed in many tours through the United Kingdom.
Tim Frantzich’s performance is part of People’s Congregational’s fourth annual summer outdoor worship services Sunday through Sept. 1 at People’s Congregational outdoor chapel next to Barker’s Alps Park in Bayport. Take Minnesota 95 into Bayport, turn west on County Road 14 next to the Bayport Public Library and go four blocks to the park and chapel is on your left. Visitors should bring their own lawn chair or blanket. Refreshments will be served. Call the church office at 651-439-5667 for more information.
