WCSO seeks suspects in West Lakeland robbery

Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigators continue looking for suspects in connection with a home-invasion robbery Monday in West Lakeland Township.

WCSO Cmdr. Brian Mueller said the incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. Monday when the female victim responding to a knock on the door, saw two men wearing reflective vests and opened the door.

The two men then rushed the victim and bound her hands and feet with zip-ties, Mueller said. The victim looked up during the incident and noticed two other men, Mueller added.

At least two suspects wore bandanas over their faces, investigators confirmed that one suspect wore gloves, and another suspect brandished a handgun, according to Mueller.

The bound victim was carried or thrown from room-to-room during the incident, with the suspects taking a safe, jewelry and coins, Mueller said. Evidence indicates the suspects pulled their vehicle into the victim’s garage during the robbery, he added.
Deputies are following all leads and anyone seeing suspicious behavior, vehicles or persons in their neighborhoods should call 9-1-1 and report it immediately, Mueller said.

Anyone with information about this incident can anonymously report it to the WCSO non-emergency phone number at 651-439-9381, email it to sheriff@co.washington.mn.us or call 651-430-7850 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Mueller added.

Well done Gazette. Way to stick to your principles over the safety of the populace. Could we get a physical description of the attackers. A skin color, perhaps? (insert eye roll here)
