Medallion hunt winner

Libby Maron, left, won four rounds of golf from Joe Park, owner and golf pro at the Country Air Wedge Course in Lake Elmo, after Maron found the Lake Elmo Public Library’s elusive medallion inside a Dr. Seuss book in a drawer. The library’s next summer events are Wednesday when PowerUp 4 Kids and program mascot Chomp visit the library from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Children can play gourd bowling, Hula Hoop and other games and participate in a vegetable tasting. Lake Elmo Bank will award a gift to one person attending the event. A knitting class will be offered at 7 p.m. with all materials provided so attendees can learn the basic knit stitch. Registration is necessary for the knitting class and can be done by calling 651-773-4926. Visit lakeelmopubliclibrary.org for information. (Submitted photo)
