Fourth District U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum, D-St. Paul, along with Legislative Director Jenn Holcomb, District Director Josh Straka and Constituent Service Representative April Shaw, toured Lakeview Hospital’s Emergency Department Friday.

“We had a great visit with Congresswoman McCollum in the Lakeview Emergency Department. We had the opportunity to show the wonderful physical plant, EMS providers and equipment and hold a great discussion about healthcare,” said Marty Richards, the Hospital’s Emergency Room Medical Director.

Hospital Emergency Department Nurse Manager Mary Healy and Lakeview President Curt Geissler, along with Richards, discussed with McCollum staff issues regarding healthcare reimbursement, behavioral health care, along with the evaluation and treatment of military veterans and active duty personnel.

“I am here to help,” McCollum said.

McCollum is serving her seventh term in Congress, representing Minnesota’s Fourth District which include Ramsey and parts of Washington County.
