Free books for all

Rutherford Elementary School students recently created a small free library that will operate this summer. Students in Stacy Maddux’s class created the library to encourage a love of reading and make books available in the community. Students wrote persuasive letters seeking supplies and books from companies in the community and residents are encouraged to take a book and leave a book when they visit the free library. The students plan to talk with city officials about creating four more future little free libraries. (Submitted photo)
